Slip your rings on once more under a glowing sunset.
Short summer reads…
Vow renewal rings are one of the first things couples ask about. Do you need new ones? Do you take your old ones off? The answer is whatever feels right to you both, and every option can be beautiful.
I'm Leon of Twilight Ceremonies, an accredited celebrant and photographer based in Llandudno. Here are the most common choices, and how a ring exchange fits into a sunset renewal.
Exchanging Your Original Rings
Many couples choose this. You take off your wedding rings before the ceremony, and place them on each other's fingers again after your refreshed vows. The rings carry every year you have shared.
Adding an Eternity Ring
Some couples add a new ring alongside the original, often an eternity ring, to mark the years since. It can sit with your wedding ring rather than replace it.
Engraving a Date or a Word
An engraving inside an existing ring, perhaps the date of your renewal or a word from your vows, gives the ring a new chapter without changing how it looks.
Writing the Ring Exchange Words
We write the words together, as part of your ceremony. They can echo what you said on your wedding day, or be completely new. What to say when renewing your vows has ideas.
Capturing the Moment
Hands and rings photograph beautifully in low evening light. Every package includes ten Polaroids the same evening, and video and audio of your ceremony is a £50.00 extra on the live offerings page. Vow renewal photography ideas shows more.
From Elopement to Renewal
If you exchanged your rings at an Elope with Leon elopement, the Ultimate includes a free Twilight celebration and the Signature 15% off.
Anywhere You Choose
Llanddwyn, Porthdinllaen or Prestatyn's shore all suit a ring exchange, but you can choose anywhere: home, your garden, elsewhere in the UK or abroad.
Whether they are new or well worn, your rings tell the story of every year so far. Read how much a vow renewal costs, then book a sunset wedding anniversary.
The same rings, a deeper promise, and a sky to remember.
