Your promises, beautifully captured under a glowing sunset.
Short summer reads…
Vow renewal photography should feel nothing like a formal wedding shoot. You know each other far better now, and the best pictures come from letting that show in the soft light of a summer evening.
I'm Leon of Twilight Ceremonies, an accredited celebrant and photographer based in Llandudno. Because I lead the ceremony and take the photographs, here are the ideas I plan around.
Time It for Golden Hour
Start your ceremony about an hour before sunset, so the light is warm and low through the vows and fades into colour as you finish. Facing west on the coast, from Anglesey to the Llŷn, gives the best skies.

Hands, Rings and Small Details
Close-ups of your hands, your rings and the way you hold on to each other tell the story of the years. If you still have your wedding rings, wear them proudly.
Bring Your Wedding Photograph
Hold your original wedding photograph in the shot, or recreate a favourite pose from that day. Seeing then and now side by side is lovely.
Polaroids in Your Hands
Every Twilight package includes ten Polaroids, handed to you on the same evening, so you can watch them develop while the sky is still glowing.
Candid Extras and Drone Shots
For £50.00 each on the live offerings page, you can add digital candid photographs before and after the ceremony, video and audio of the ceremony itself, or drone coverage where the location allows.
If You Have Photographs From Before
If you eloped with Elope with Leon, your renewal photographs can join your Love Story Album beside the wedding ones. What to wear for a sunset vow renewal helps you plan the look.
Anywhere With a Sky
North Wales gives you beaches, headlands and estuaries, but you can choose anywhere: home, your garden, your wedding spot, elsewhere in the UK or abroad.
Good photographs come from feeling at ease together. Book a sunset wedding anniversary and we will plan the light around you.
The light, your faces, and the promises in between.
